So I found that using the Apple recommended way of moving your itunes folder had several issues. To recap, to do this I went through itunes preferences and changed the location of the files, then did a library consolidate. While this worked to complete the move, at some point iTunes reverted back to a local Itunes folder on the PC.
So I manually move the entire folder to the disk station then option opened itunes to select a folder. After three days, the folder is still the correct one everytime it opens itunes. However, yesterday a different problem occured. When I opened Itunes, it gave me a message error on some of the movies stating it did not know where the file was located. It actually ended up correcting itself but its causing me to worry. I suppose it may have something to do with the delay in access to the network drive and opening itunes.
Have I done this correctly? Any suggestions?
thanks
