Problem with lock screen (SMS notification)

Whenever I recieve an SMS it notifies me on the lock screen. However the message is usually displayed in the center of the screen; mine is however placed at the top. It is placed where the clock is displayed
Any suggestions?

I am currently running on 3.1.2
