What happens if a Mac App Store (MAS) customer purchases an app that is compatible at that time with Snow Leopard, for example, and later somehow loses that app -- BUT, the latest version in the Mac App Store has since been bumped to require Lion?
So far in my experience, customers are left holding the bag. The MAS apparently has no provision for restoring an older version of an app that a customer purchased which was compatible with the OS X version they had installed at that time, and still do have installed.
I can't handle this as the developer because Apple prevents me from distributing any MAS apps to customers, plus I have no means to verify whether anyone is a MAS customer or not.
Perhaps someone can clarify this situation as it seems like a glaring hole in the MAS customer support.
