Problem with Macbook Pro Screen Fading In & Out...

For some reason my 07 macbook pro screen is acting up, meaning the screen will go bright, then go dull and then bright and then dull. I dont understand why this happening but it sucks. Its very noticeable and distracting. Any suggestions?

It might be the ambient light sensor acting up. Are there any changes in the room light?

If it gets bad, you will want to call Apple. It shouldn't be changing back and forth really quickly all the time.

Since the ambient light sensor is located under the speaker grills, it may be occurring when your hand reaches for the delete key and blocks light. This used to happen to me till I started using the delete key with my pinky finger (I usually type with the two pointer fingers only)
