I purchased an open box 2.4 MacBook Pro from Best Buy today. The computer was working perfectly fine in the store. I brought it home, started it up and then after I finished typing in the password for my wireless network...it shut down.

Since then...it has been a brick and won't start up at all.

Anything I should try before returning it? I would like to have this one running if possible.
 
Does it run without the battery plugged in? Is it completely dead, or do you think that just the display may be out?

Try doing a SMC reset as well.

Does not start without the battery and plugged in.

Completely...no start up noises at all.

SMC reset changed nothing...I am guessing I am out of luck on this one. :mad:
