i manually installed summerboard from a website found through the forums. But i still have the problem of the bottom 4 icons moving up to the top covering the top 4

1. I did all of this

SummerBoard.framework -> /Library/Frameworks/SummerBoard.framework
SMBPrefs.app -> /Applications/SMBPrefs.app
Themes -> /var/root/Library/SummerBoard/Themes
com.apple.SpringBoard.plist -> /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.SpringBoard.plist

Make sure that the plists permissions are as such:

-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 704 Oct 9 20:00 com.apple.SpringBoard.plist

Reboot iPhone, enjoy!

right click on the plist file and go to properties, there you can edit the rw r r. When i transfered the file from the zip file it was already set that way so u might not have to do it, it would be a good idea to make sure tho.

Here's what kept mine from working: The instructions never tell you but you have to enable the Execute permission bit for the SMBPrefs app you installed. :)
