Hi there.

I have just obtained a Samsung 206BW to partner with my 11inch 2011 MBA. I have a mini-displayport to DVI adapter, and connect that to the Thunderbolt port of the MBA, and pass a DVI cable through to the 206BW.... but nothing happens. Detect displays also doesn't do anything.

However, I have tested that the screen does in fact work, once with a VGA connection to a windows laptop, and importantly using the exact same connections to the Displayport equipped iMac downstairs. That detects the external screen just fine.

I was under the impression that Thunderbolt was backwards compatible with Displayport technology, so can anyone help me out here?

Cheers,
