Problem with migration assistant

I don't know if anyone has this problem or not but i tried to migrate my data from powerbook G4 to powerbook pro. It migrated just fine but at the last min (when it said less than one min remains) and it just stuck there. I wonder if anyone has similar problem and how to fix it.

In addition, what do you expect the migration data to be in? for instance, the desktop icons and data are they gonna move to the new labtop's desktop. In another words, are the info being migrated will migrate to the approriate places.

I migrated my backup disk onto my MBP lastnight. When the countdown went to 1 minute, it infact lasted about 30 minutes!

I was temped to reboot but good thing I didn't.

thanks for your response. I guess i didn't wait more than 20 mins.

How is your transfer data? do they go directly to where they are supposed to be, application, desktop, music folder etc etc?
