I'm trying to migrate from a macbook to a macbook pro (late 2007). The macbook is newer, but I need more beef, so I'm trying to move to the macbook pro.

When trying to migrate using the assistant, it stalls at the "waiting for disks to appear" part. The old macbook disc does appear in the new mac's finder, but not in the migration assistant.

I've tried every fix I could find online. I've rebooted both machines, checked for updates on both macines, and tried booting the macbook in target disk mode before starting the migration assistant.

The only issue that I can think of is that the macbook pro is older than the macbook. The PRO is running 10.4, and the macbook is running 10.5

Any ideas on how I could get this to work?
