Hello there,

first of all i switched from my Pixel 2 to an iPhone 11 and i like nearly everything about it. Not missing a single bit of Android ;-)

But there is one little problem, which occurs sometimes and that is the loss of the mobile data connection (or the whole connection, did not missed SMS or calls in this time) without showing it.
Yesterday i was driving around with my car (with bluetooth connected) and when i came home after 2 hours, i got a lot of WhatsApp messages (because i logged into my WLAN at home).
I stayed at home for about 2 hours and then had a meeting, where i also had to drive with my car for about an hour. During the trip i listened to a podcast, which worked perfectly.
When arrived at my destination i tried to search the exact way with Apple Maps, where i found out that the internet connection is not working (and was not working when i left home, but the podcast worked perfectly, preloaded maybe?). The interesting thing is that the phone showed me that i am connected with 4G/LTE and had enough signal strength. But no app could connect to the internet (WhatsApp, Telegram, ...).
I turned on flight mode and then turned it off again and everything worked afterwards. I had a simillar problem also when i drove to work and had no data connection the whole day and i did not notice it.

What can be the problem here? It always happend after i connected with my car via bluetooth.
I live in Austria and my carries is A1. I use a normal SIM card.

Good signal connectivity doesn't always mean good data connectivity. Although rare, there have been times when I had a good signal but no internet access. Don't know why. Workaround was to use wifi or change location.

This happens quite often, regardless of the phone. It's usually the carrier. Sometimes the towers are so over-saturated that although I have full bars, I have zero data connectivity.

There are some troubleshooting things you can try though.
1. In the suspected area, switch to airplane mode and back, see if that fixes the issue
2. Check to see if you can edit your APN setting. If so, make sure it is set correctly to your carrier's.
3. You can try resetting the network (you might have to re-enter your wifi passwords). Sometimes that can help if the issue is software related.

I live in Austria, the carrier is Educom, which is part of A1.

The problem is that it did not reconnect during the whole trip during a lot of mobile cells.
And it went away immediately when turning on and off the flight mode.

It did not happen with my Pixel 2, which is on the same carrier.
