Problem with my Airport card

Ok i have an old G3 Pismo and my PMCIA wirless card keeps freezing my computer; It used to work fine but I havn't used it for about two years.
Now everytime I plug it in and hit connect the computer just blocks.... only way to un block it is hit the on/off button for 10n seconds.
Since the two years the computer has crashed twice ( bad RAM) ans I've had to reclone the OS (panther) a couple of times...but basically its still the original OS.
Secondly when I plug in the card the power lite dose not come on.
Any Idea's what could be the problem. Thanks

Sounds like you might have a faulty power connection to the card, or possibly a faulty card itself, Id also use compressed air to dust the connections inside your Pismo, as it could be something as simple as dust interfering.

Right.... thanks alot. I just cleaned off the contacts and now it works.
