Hello,

I have a 15" MacBook Pro and just purchased a 20" Cinema ADC Display from a reliable source (30 warranty included). I also got the Apple DVI to ADC Adapter directly from Apple.

Upon hooking everything up, I immediately got no video on the Cinema. The only time I get any kind of video is when in Spaces (the screen turns a brown-ish/gold-ish color) and it also flickers during screen saver and resolution change. But I have a feeling it's the adapter because it's making a high pitched sound while the display is NOT displaying any video what-so-ever. The high pitched sound in question sounds like electrical current.

So, I was just wondering if anyone here also has the DVI to ADC Adapter and if it's normal for the adapter to be making that sound.

Do you think my problem is the Cinema or adapter?
