Problem with my MacBook Firmware.

I was updating my Firmware, and I followed the instructions, I held the Power Key for it to reboot, and there was a little bar filling up. the bar got maybe 1/2 way done and then my MacBook screen went black. I can turn it on and hear the sound, but NOTHING on the screen shows up.

How can I fix this? I already tried pressing and holding the power key to turn it on when it;s off, and I tried a hard reboot.

Err, I think it died...seems very similar to this topic; https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/230536/ so I'm guessing you might have to call apple care.

Or, can you stick the installation disk in and see if it will load off that?

There is a firmware restoration CD available, just for the purpose of fixing your computer in the event of a failed firmware update.
