So I have a really strange problem. I have a PM G4 and a Windows Box connected to my network via ethernet through a router/switch, as well as my Powerbook connected via AirPort. All have access to the internet, and can share files, etc. However, my wife's iBook, also connecting via AirPort can connect to the internet, and view all the network shares, however when I try to connect to another machine on the network it displays the dialog box to "Connect to the file server 'name' as:" and requires the Name and Password of the machine.

Now this works for all other computers on the network. I can even share files between my Macs and the one Windows machine with no problem. However my wife's iBook always says I've entered the incorrect password and will not let it connect to any network shares.

Does anyone have any ideas how I could find what password it may be looking for? We did purchase the iBook used, and I have a sneaking suspision that maybe the original account was not removed completely from the machine and it is looking for that username and password to connect. However I can do software updates (which require a password) and that same user/pass do not work here.

Any help is appreciated. I have no idea what else to try.
