Help (please!) -- just installed the 8800G in my 2008 Mac Pro. No problems under 10.5.2, but under Boot Camp (Vista Ultimate), I cannot get the system to recognize the card, and it keeps installing it as the SVGA adapter. I've tried installing the driver from Nvidia, but the installer tells me that there's no driver for the hardware installed, and I've tried reinstalling the boot camp drivers, but nothing has worked! Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Strange...particulary as it is working under OSX. On a nightshift and will have time to give it some thought.

I didnt use the bootcamp disc (leopard disc 1) to install under windows, rather I just went to the www.nvidia.com and just installed their driver from the website and everything works smooth sailing. :D

wait.. http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_169.21_whql.html

is this what you d/led and installed?? Also try uninstalling all the drivers for the gpu under windows then restart and install the driver I just gave you in the link from nvidia and try that. Also make sure that the nvidia 8800gt card plugged into the first slot and that the powercord is connected to the left side of the mac pro.

Thanks -- that totally did the trick. For some reason, when I downloaded the driver from Nvidia, I ended up with a different version -- 174.23 or something.
