So I'm trying to collect 512x512 icons for my apps, however, I am having trouble installing them from .icns.

It seems that I can no longer use this method...(select Get Info, copy the little icon in the top left of the window, and paste it on the little icon of the Get Info screen of the one I want to change),

My problem is that the Get Info no longer displays the actual icon in the top left of its Get Info screen, just the generic .icns icon. Help anyone?

This is strange. It works just fine for me. select an .icns file. copy the file to the clipboard. select the the folder/file whose icon you want to change. do get info, select the small icon in the top left corner and paste your .icns file there. as i said, works like a charm for me.

Same here. I've just been replacing the .icns file in all the apps I want changed. (Right click, show package contents. Under resources.)
