I have the 2.2Ghz MBP and recently spilled liquid on the keyboard. The computer turned out to be okay, but half the keyboard ceased to light up. To remedy this, I went ahead and ordered a new keyboard and installed it myself (I'm techy and out of warranty, so I figured why not). An hour or so later, I had the new keyboard in (and a new hard drive, as well) and after installing the OS again, found that, while the keyboard was functioning completely fine, the backlight itself wont' turn on. I'm able to see its control come up on my screen (as well as "adjust the brightness"), but it doesn't respond in kind. I'm pretty sure I installed it correctly, so I'm not sure what the issue is.

I guess my questions are 1) is there anything I could've possibly overlooked and 2) Do they manufacture any of these keyboards *without* backlights? I've since contacted the company I bought it from, but while I'm awaiting their response, I thought maybe I should grab a second opinion. Thanks for any and all help.
