I just got my macbook yesterday and it connects to my Netgear N router fine, but my internet speed is extremely slow, enough to where websites take minutes to load on a cable modem. My old Dell (with a G card) had issues occasionally with the router but all I had to do was reset the router and it was usually fine. I assumed once I had a macbook with a N card, it would be fine with the N router. I got the router in November so it's past returning and I really don't want to have to buy a new router. Anyone have any suggestions?

Check for firmware updates for the router, make sure the Mac is running 10.5.6. See if there are DNS servers filled in when you go to Network, click on the Airport connection and then to the Advanced button. Last but not least create a new network location from the Location dropdown at the top of the Network pane.
