Problem with new MBPr and printer

Hello,


My girlfriend just got a new MBPr "13, and it's great and whatnot... but when trying to install the printer, the OSX Version 10.9.2 is too "new" (?) for the printer to recognize it..

Is there a way to fix this? it would be kinda stupid to downgrade the software just to get a printer to work, but if that is the only way...

EDIT: Printer is hp officejet 6100 eprinter

Did you look to see if maker has its own drivers?

There's no way to downgrade OSX because 10.9.2 is the only version available for download.

The mac driver is posted on HP site.
