Hi

I have a problem saving file with Password in Numbers, when I go to Inspector and check " Set Password to open " after that I save the file and quit, when I open it again its open without the Password, so after trying several times the only way I can do it is saving the file on the Desktop.

How I can do that and keep the file with password in my Documents file

Thanks

Yes you go to the inspector > Document and select Require password to open.
Then you fill in the password menu box, repeat password. Add hint then set password.
A Lock will be on the spreadsheet and you will need the password to open it.

The first time you open the file with the password you will have the option to save the password in your keychain in which case the spreadsheets will open for you or a user on your account but not whoever you send it to. In the same way keychain enters your passwords into forums.

If you want it safe in your account don't let keychain save the password.

I do everything you post the problem is when I save it do not save with the password ( I am saving it in to Documents folder) I try the same but saving it in my desktop and works like yo say, why not in my Documents folder

Thank you for your help
