Everyone with a newer MBP, make sure you check that every single port is working as intended. After owning the MBP (2.7/16/512/455) a few weeks now, it turns out one of my right side TB3 ports is unstable. It keeps cutting in and out every second when I plug in the power adapter. I am definitely bummed about it to say the least .
After unboxing and using my mid 2015 rmbp for a few days I noticed this with one of my USB ports on the left hand side, took it back and they assured me it was my cable that I was plugging in...........it did not do that when plugged into anything else though. I was pretty angry that they would not swap it, so I frowned and walked away. Luckily, it seems to not do it so much/at all, now.
