Problem with outlook 2011

I am no longer able to create new emails, reply to emails, or forward emails. No error, no redirect, just sits there. Its almost like the editor will not initialize, but i thought word was the editor.(?) Everything else (meetings, appts, tasks, etc) works just fine. Any ideas?
