Problem with photos

Hello, i've encountered a problem lately which I cant watch photos on my macbook pro.

Im using the 10.8.2 version, and all of a sudden I cant watch photos I had on my USB.
The USB itself is in the right formation, and even when im trying to import photos from my camera's memory card (using a card reader) it shows me the card is empty, while on other computers I can see the images perfectly.

Any help?
