Problem with proxy server

Hello there,

I have used proxy settings at firefox and safari to connect to the internet through a university server. After updating something, i don't remember what then i couldn't connect. I called the university they said it was ok and i could connect through a neighbor computer, connected at the same home network.

So, something happened to my firefox, or safari. When i try to drag n drop firefox to trash and reinstall i cannot. Any ideas about the proxy settings?
