I'm trying to restore my files from time machine and I chose only to transfer my files and it seemed to do that but how do I access them now and put my pictures in iphoto and music in itunes? etc

Problem with restoring backup from time machine

Your iTunes and iPhoto library are restore back to where said programs expect them to be. Anything happen when you open those two?
Did you use Migration Assistant? You should still have the option to do it again since it is in Utilities.
I did use migration assistant. Is there any particular option I should pick when I do it? Its a different machine does that matter?
If you picked user files only it'll only copy over the user space. The fact that it's another machine doesn't matter. Are the files there on your Time Machine drive?
Could it be that I have to change the name and it wont let me transfer over the current name when migrating?
