Problem with Rev. A 2006 MacBook Combo Drive

I recently found that my 1.83GHz 2006 MacBook has decided to reject some CDs.

I can successfully play DVD's but it's just CD's that aren't working (all types: music CDs, software CDs, etc.). Because of that I suppose it's a software problem.

Has anyone else had this issue? Can anyone help?
