Hello! My Windows installation disk that I have had for a while now suddenly decides to break itself. I tried downloading Windows onto my iMac via Bootcamp, but I have run into a problem. I get an error saying that there were missing or corrupt files on my original disk. I tried to resolve this problem by getting an .iso image from Microsoft for the setup of Windows, and then when it is fully installed I would just use the activation code I have had since I got the disk.

But, here is the problem: The homemade disk I burned the .iso files onto is not recognized as a bootable drive. My old Windows disk was, but this DVD I burned is not. Is there a way that I make it so it IS bootable? I checked the DVD and it does have all of the files it needs to (I do believe so, anyway), but I can't get my Mac to start up just using that disk. I tried to hold the Option key, the C key, and neither of their functions worked with trying to boot it.

Any suggestions on what I should do to try and fix this problem?

Thanks,
Len
