I bought an iphone last week, with the little extra simcard thing that makes it work on Telstra (Australia). I have been using it without problems, until recently.

I'm on vacation in China right now, and it worked perfectly for 2 days until yesterday. The phone started saying "error" whenever I was trying to send an SMS. Eventually I made it work by using SMSD, but it really frustrates me cos i love the little ical look of the SMS. I can receive SMS and make/receive calls.

First of all it "searches" for a network, then it finds China mobile (with full bars) and then shrinks down after a few seconds to appear to have little reception, and then it drops out altogether and says "no service". It then reconnects (with full bars) to China Mobile, then drops out again. It does this three times over about 1 minute and then says "no SIM Card inserted".

Anyone please help!!! Thanks!!
