Problem with software update: quicktime&security update

Firstly: Hi all! it's been a while

Secondly: Help!

Ever since I recently ran an unsuccessful software update where both the security update and quicktime ended up with red exclamation marks next to them I've been having trouble opening quicktime&iphoto. I tried manually downloading quicktime but at the end of installation it says there has been an error and to please try again.

Any ideas?

Hi guys.

Well I trashed the .plists of iphoto & quicktime and got them opening and managed to update quicktime with the manual upload but I'm still having trouble with the latest security update. I've manually downloaded it but whenever it gets to aroun 70% it crashes and asks me to 'Please try installing again'.

And now itunes is the one that isn't working!

Any ideas?
