Britain.
I have been using Silk.app to customise the font I use on my System.

However, I have since disabled it and have decided to revert back to the standard Mac font.

Since doing this, certain parts of my system are using some horrible jagged font - which I have not seen before.

Even if I re-apply Silk this font is still there on these portions of the UI.

What can I do to remedy?

Edit: Figured it out as I was pressing "post". It was the Font Smoothing!

I wish fonts that did not have any smoothing on a Mac looked as good as they do on Windows.

It looks like it happens for smaller fonts. In the System Preferences for the font smoothing there should be a setting for turning off font smoothing of fonts at a certain size and smaller. I don't remember off-hand where it specifically is, but I believe it was in the Appearance section of system preferences.

Yeah thanks, I did edit my post as soon as I posted the thread to say I'd come to an answer as to what was going on.

It was font smooth.

I must have accidentally adjusted it on one of my modding crusades.
