Why I’m a little unsure why this might be a big deal, I don’t really know if it’s something I really need to worry about or not. Or should I? Well, I was just looking for answers. I had Spectrum come out and do a service repair for me the other day, but they forgot to register the MAC address in there system. So they called me and asked me to give it to them. When I was going to take a picture of the sticker on the modem so I can zoom in on the MAC address, I noticed some unusual lines in the photo. Remind you, my modem is in my fathers room in his apartment. And he doesn’t have any light in his room. So it was pretty dark when I was trying to take the shot. Anyway, I eventually got the picture and gave them the MAC address.
The following day, I called Apple support and I screen shared them in on my device so they can see the problem. And they did say they noticed it and asked me if I wanted to bring it to the Genius Bar to have them look at it. The only issue is the camera seems to be fine to me as it’s kind of hard to replicate it unless I’m really, really, really, close to something. For instance, if I put my hand up to the camera, maybe about an inch away, it’s when the lines begin to appear. Can anybody else try to replicate this on their iPhone 12 Pro Max? And tell me if the same thing happens? While I seriously doubt it’s a software issue, I wonder if I’m one of the only ones with this problem. Attached is a picture I took about an inch away from my phone, so y’all could see what I’m talking about. It’s not like I’m going to zoom in that close to take pictures of anything anyway. That’s why I’m wondering if I should bring it up there just to see what they say? Or just leave it as is and not worry about it? I did pay for the phone in full. I still have Apples’s manufacturers warranty.
