problem with the mic on the iphone headset

hello everyone,
i have a strange problem: suddenly the mic on my iphone headset stopped working, it doesnt forward a song when i double click it nor it functions as a mic when im talking on the phone!!! also i used the same headset on another iphone and it worked normally, i also tried another working headset but it didnt work with my iphone, so i suspect there is something wrong with my iphone!!what should i do...?

I had a very similar issue and a restore fixed the problem.

i tried to restore it and i still have the problem!!!
