Problem with the USB ports on my Cinema Display

I used to have a Mac Pro connected to a Cinema Display. I used the USB ports on the back of the display for printers, charging (and syncing) my iPhone, etc.

I recently got a MBP and am using the same Cinema Display as a secondary display, but the USB ports are only charging and aren't working to connect to my printer and iPhone. Is there anything I should check?
