Hi all,

This is my first post. My other half dropped her iPhone down the toilet. I stripped it apart and allowed it to dry out, and then removed a small amount of corrosion on the contacts that connect the lcd and digitizer to the logic board. I've checked everywhere else and there is no corrosion.

Now that I've reassembled the phone there is absolutely no display and no touch functionality. I know that the phone is working underneath the blank display, as I can press the main button for speech control to work, and switching the silence button vibrates the phone. Also, I can connect the phone to iTunes and it is recognised correctly and everything works there as it should.

So, I'm after opinions really. Should I order a new front assembly? Is that likely to fix the problem, or is there something else I should do first?

Thanks
