I bought a 2016 SE in 2019 specifically for Wifi calling because there's no signal where I live. Bought a new SE2020 (I think?) three years ago; a couple years ago they put up more towers (or something) because I now get one bar, sometimes two, although I don't think that's relevant to my problem.

Wifi calling has always worked perfectly for me, and I have it set to automatically connect to Wifi at diners I go to nearly every day (yes, I'm aware of possible hacking). Sitting in my easy chair at home, I never had an issue with interruptions, ever, and have always had a full signal.

But in the last few months, it sometimes cuts out with other people even though I'm in my same chair, and with a full power icon (it's always me, not them). And I've noticed that sometimes it doesn't connect automatically to other Wifi networks that I previously had it set up to, and had previously worked fine. I can connect manually okay and then it's fine, but auto-connect usually doesn't work.

Something has changed and it wasn't anything I did. Any idea what it might be?

I find it problematic to walk about the house when on a WiFi call, the phone seems to try to connect to cellular when the cell signal is a bit stronger. Have you tried turning cellular off?
