I was on the phone with AppleCare an hour last night trying to get this fixed but nothing worked. My 8 256 gb was okay during the day when i was setting it up but last night, i could not get it to stay on my home wifi for more than a few minutes. I tried resetting the network settings, rebooting, etc but nothing worked. I know my home wifi is good because my husband was on his phone and i check my laptop and iPad and the were both fine. AppleCare was okay but then i was told to plug my phone into my router to see if that would help. My router is in the rafters of my basement and i was not going to try that--i know its not my wifi! Finally i got someone who tried to restore my factory settings through iTunes It took forever too (he had finally hung up) and when it got near the end it crashed. So much for that, right? I also noticed my Yahoo mail on my phone was not loading, but i deleted and added it (had to do that three times before i got it to work). I finally gave up and went to sleep at 11:30. Now i'm up and it appears that the wifi is better on my phone. It is not going to LTE like it was last night. Does anyone here have any ideas or what i should try doing before i go to the apple store? Thank you so much!

Honestly, I think you have done more than your fair share of troubleshooting. I would take it back and get it exchanged. This is a very expensive, new, and beautiful by the way, phone that should work without these sorts of issues.

If you want to try one more thing, remove the sim card, assuming your carrier uses sim cards, and then try wifi.

Good luck.
