On my old iMac when I choose Wubi Xing simplified chinese and e.g. press the 'q' button I get first a roman underlined 'q' in the input field, I then press space and the character converts/expands into '我' which is what I wanted.
Another example is if I press 's' followed by 'n' the input field shows "sn" I press space and get '杨'.
However, on my new MacBook Pro if I use Wubi Xing and press the 'q' button I immediately get the character '金'. If I press 's' and 'n' I immediately get "木已" ‐ it doesn't do the expansion.
Sometimes I can provoke it by changing a few times between us keyboard and Wubi Xing and bring up the on screen keyboard (Show Keyboard Viewer) - in which case it'll work for a while. Until next time I try in another app.
Any thoughts? It is very annoying when somebody wants to chat with my wife in chinese and she has to try the mentioned work-around several times before Wubi Xing works correctly.
