I recently changed the name of my user folder on my powerbook G4 so I could distinguish it from a folder of the same name on a new macbook pro when I connect the two over a network.

This seems to have caused problems on my powerbook G4. I can no longer open any files in Photoshop (just get an error) and I also can no longer print from Adobe Indesign (keeps defaulting to PostScript printer and gives error message when trying to change to canon printer in menu).

When I go to 'Users' I now seem to get a folder with the new name which has all my folders/files in as well as a folder with the old name which has a couple of folders in ('Library' etc)

Any advice?

There's a number of threads on this exact topic. I recommend searching them out as they already have a lot of information in them.
