So, I bought an class 10 16GB SD Card to create a bootable emergency drive. I plugged my sd card into the sd cart slot. I correctly formatted my sd card (GUID, Mac OS X Extended, etc). Inserted my Snow Leopard DVD & started the install process. The install process continued & then got to the point where my macbook pro restarted, to boot from the DVD. I got stuck at the grey apple logo. There was no spinning gear below the logo. The screen was like this for about 10 minutes.

I shut down the compute & restarted while holding alt/option & select my internal drive. I ejected the snow leopard dvd & the sd card. I reseted the PRAM, ran all of the automated processes that OnyX & I even ran all of the options that applejack has. I then tried the install process again & there was no change.

I then tried the install process on my dad's iMac & everything worked perfectly. So, I then tried booting from the SD Card on my MacBook Pro. I still get stuck at the grey Apple logo. I tried it with the sd card in the sd card slot & connect via a SD Card USB adapter. No change.

As a last resort, I also tried the Apple Hardware Test & the Apple Service Diagnostics (that works with my model of MacBook Pro). Every single test passed. No problems were found.

So, any suggestions?
