I have been ripping my dvds with mac the ripper and burning the video ts files with finder for a few years now. I have done this successfully with an old macbook and a new 21" imac. Occassionally I would have problems and could only view the ripped files with a VLC player. I just discovered that I can rip and burn any disc if I only select main feature extraction on mac the ripper. If, however, I do a full disc extraction, neither idvd nor any set top player can read the files, only vlc player. I was wondering if there was a way to fix this issue, maybe reorganizing the files, I think the problem has something to do with additional ifo or vob files that create the special features and menus of the dvd. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

(I tried searching already, and didn't find anything addressing this issue specifically)

Thanks
