OK, so here is my situation. I bought a DVI to HDMI adapter for my macbook to hook up to my flatscreen TV. It came with the adapter and an HDMI cable, and I also have a vizio HDMI cable for my PS3.
When I plug in everything, it never senses that there is another display connected. And when I go to system preferences, displays, there is no arrangement tab available because it doesn't sense the TV as being connected.
So yes, this could be because the product is faulty, but let me say this: Last month, the day I got the adapter in the mail, my macbook LCD screen burt out, I couldn't see anything on the screen at all, but when I plugged everything in to the TV, the screen came right up on there, but ever since I've had the screen replaced, it won't work.
That is the part that baffles me, is that it worked when my LCD went out, but now it won't, so I don't think it's the adapter really.
Settings on the TV? Or something else?
Thanks to all!
