I'm trying to connect my 2007 MacBook to my CRT Sony Wega TV. I'm using a mini-dvi to video adapter. It doesn't matter if I use a yellow rca or svideo, the picture on my TV is all black and wavy. I can vaguely make out the picture on my TV, but it's mostly indistinguishable. I've tried changing the resolution settings but nothing fixes the problem. Can anyone help me with this?

When used a CRT TV and a PC, I always had to route the video signal through an S-VHS player/recorder. Do you have any device, that has a Composite or S-Video input, through which you can route the video signal to the CRT?

I tried routing the rca through a VCR but I actually got no picture with that. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Are there any settings that I could change in order to make the picture clear?
