I'm hoping that someone can help me connect my new Samsung printer to my MacMini.
I purchased a Samsung ML-2850 printer to run on my home network. The printer was recommended because it was compatible with both computers and a wired network. My network comprises of 2 PC's (XL) and a Mac Mini (OS-X10.5.8). The printer works with both PCs, but not with the Mac.
Although the Mac appears to see the printer to show toner supplies, it will hang up when sending to print and then send a message that an error occurred.
To date:
I initially ran the Installation CD and followed the directions with the Smart panel with the computer. When this did not work, I installed driver 'ML-2850 Series PS', however none of these worked. I subsequently contacted Samsung who sent me a link, but it did not work either.
The Mac worked fine with my older HP and Brother printers, but the Mac seems to have a problem with the Samsung. I have read some blogs that other people have had similar problems with Samsung printers.
I am not technically skilled with computers, but have never had problems like this connecting a printer. I am hoping there is a fix.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
