My wife and I recently bought two unlocked iPhone 5's. Mine was claimed to be a T-mobile store unlocked unit and her's a factory unlocked "Verizon" phone. We decided to try Straight talk out first. I started mine a few weeks prior to hers. I am not having an issue with mine getting 3G, but she is. The only time she ever has 3G is when I turn the wireless off at the house. If we go anywhere she is always on the EDGE network while my phone remains on 3G. I thought at first that maybe there was a difference in the service for some odd reason so I swapped SIM cards. Her phone still would only stay in the EDGE network with my SIM while my phone would have 3G with her SIM. This leads me to believe that I can narrow down the problem to the phone. I have reset the network settings and re-entered the APN with no success.
