When I try to enable root with NetInfo Manager, I get an error, that spells "NetInfo write failed (Operation succseeded)". Is there any way to do it manually? What can have gone wrong??? Help, please...

Problems enabling root

Open up the terminal an type...
sudo passwd root
It will then ask for YOUR password, then for a new root password and then confirmation of the new password. That's it, your done!

Thanks verbose101. It worked, well, sort of. After changing the password, root was enabled, but when I tried to disable root again, I was prompted with the same error. I had to give root a new password (well, the same, actually), and then I was able to disable root (no pun intended).
