I have set up home sharing on my Mac and imported and organized my favorite movies and TV shows (i.e. all local mp4 files) into the library. (none of this is purchased tv series from Apple...it's all local recordings I've made myself). I've used the OPTIONS and SORTING tabs to create categories for individual TV series. I'm having trouble getting some new episodes to go into their proper categories. I know that the problem is usually that there is one character or name off in one of the SORTING fields. Once that's corrected, in the past theyo pop always lined up correctly. However, I've confirmed there are no errors fields in the various files that are not cooperating. About the only thing that is different is that these files are larger than the other files in the same TV series, or a slightly different quicktime format. They are all housed in the same place on the same drive as the other episodes.
Any suggestions on why TV episodes are not going into their proper categories when everything is correct in the SORTING fields? These random files create new categories giving me two different "folders" in the library for the same series. The problematic files still play just fine in the library and on the Apple TV/HDTV, they just are not going into their proper category.
