Problems Importing Song from iTunes to Garage Band

FOr some reason I can't seem to import SOME songs into GB. I have checked file types and duration and that doesn't seem to be it. Any suggestions??

no, i can import other songs from the same album. the popup menu says that its Importing but it never gets to the Converting part. I get no warning message or anything.

can't import iTunes music into Garage Band

I have the exact same problem. they are .mp3 files, not .MP3, there is no drm. The files drag over, then say they are importing, but then they pop and disappear, not leaving anything on the track.

I haven't tried to convert them to .aiff, but I just wonder why the hassle?

Help! I have a project due for my grad school class!
