I didn’t jump on 14.0 right when it came out I waited for 14.1

The Mac in question is a Mac mini M1 - with a very simple set up. Mostly using the Mail app and Safari and Pages. That’s it. After the new OS was installed. - Pages would freeze soon after opening a document. Couldn’t click on the document or the menus. The only solution was…, doing a force, quit and rebooting

Last week, I completely trashed the Pages app and emptied the trash. I reinstalled it from the App Store and everything was good for about five days. Now it’s the same behavior all over again. (I do realize that there are other processors out there and Libre office is great. Unfortunately, I have many documents saved in the Pages format.) is this just a case of waiting for another minor OS update from Apple to fix it? I am seeing some posts and reports of certain apps freezing under Sonoma, but nothing specific to Pages.

Thoughts and remedies?
