I have a early 2011 MacBook Pro that I’m trying to install MacOS High Sierra on Raid 0. Every time I think I got it, it runs so slow. It takes hours to boot up and sometimes it never does. I have two Crucial 500gb ssd. I used disk utility to combine them in a Stripped raid 0, but maybe I did something wrong. I have created and delete the raid several times.
Steps I used to install macOS on Raid 0:
1. Installed macOs on flash drive
2. Erased and formatted both ssd with Mac OS Extended Journaled.
3. Created Stripped Raid 0 with disk utility
4. Used Carbon Copy Cloner to copy files from flash drive to Raid 0.
5. Restarted computer using Raid 0 drive and get hours of Apple start up screen.
Please help me get this working or help me figure out it’s not possible and move on and help me install Catalina.
Note: There are two RaidSSD showing up in Boot mode. (See pics)
Thanks for your time and help,
Sam
