Problems installing OS X 10.4 from CD

I can't install te new OSX from the CD. I recorded the program as .dmg file, but the mac mini does not stop when I press the "c" button at the begginig.
Can any body help me?

Which new OSX? What kind of machine? Did you copy a version of OSX onto a CD or DVD so you could put it on your machine?

If so, you might not get any help here on these forums.

Sorry, I'm new in this forums. I have a mac mini G4. I downloaded Mac OS X10.4 because my machine came with OS X 10.3. I downloaded a version divided in 4 CDs, each one in .dmg format. I used Roxio Toast to record them, using the option "image file", but it doesn't work.
